>> sean: this is a fox news alert. we are covering two major stories off the top. the first is the gas shortage crippling new jersey and new york after hurricane sandy brought much of the northeast to a standstill. state troopers and local police have deploy to the remaining gas stations in the new york city metro area and still have gas and power, those few that do, as agonizingly long lines have frayed the nerves and are now adding to the problems that are gripping residents who are now entering their fourth night without power or heat. most gas stations in the region remain closed. those that are open are facing very angry customers that are forced to wait hours to have a chance to fill up their cars. the temperatures in the northeast are dropping. mass transit in both states is barely running and driving

around on already congested city is becoming downright perilous. we are hearing reports of violence with one queens man, reportedly pulling a gun on another motorist at a gas station. here in new york city, local news stations are reporting that residents are digging through dumpsters for food. where is president obama? after his photohelpop with chris christie, he boards fair force 1 and begins with a stump speech -- where? in green bay, wisconsin and then to las vegas. his final event is just getting underway in boulder, colreado. heel stay the night in ohio. with the horrifying images of sandy's devastation, contrasted with the president's constant pamdam paining, this is starting to look like, in my opinion, obama's katrina. we will have reaction from former new york city mayor rudy

guiliani. but i want to update you on the other story that continues to change by the minute. fox news can confirm, on the night of the benghazi terror attack, the obama administration did not convene its top counter-terrorism resource, that being the counter-terrorism security group, which has the ability to coordinate all asset, all agencies to respond to a potential terror attack. forks news has confirmed that emails exist showing the key responders were ready to deploy but were upon called upon by the u.s. government. one official told cbs news tonight, the csg is the one group that is supposed to know what resources every agency has. now, they know of multiple options and had the ability to coordinate counter-terrorism assets across all the agencies. they were not allowed to do their job. they were not called upon. meanwhile, the house oversight committee sent a letter to the secretary of state, hillary clinton, asking about documents that indicate that people

affiliated with the libyan government may have been involved in the attack. joiningous this breaking news, former new york city mayor, rudy guiliani. there is a likelihood that power is not going to be back on in new york until... some estimates, november 11 or beyond. there is no heat. there is no gas. people are dumpster diving for food. it was all over the drudge report. the president goes for a photo-op. he's gone. there is no help coming in here at all. it is four days into this. i mean, i really believe this is now -- this is a disaster out there. >> it is a disaster. particularly for the people in breezy point and rockaway and other parts of the area that have been disproportionately hit by t. there is a reason why we can't turn the power on, you know, within a day or two. that's because we are at the breaking point, in terms of our sources of power. we haven't rebuilt our

infrastructure, the way we sh. we haven't built the transmission lines and modernized them or built a nuclear power plant in who knows how long. this is what we are suffering from. this is supposed to be a modern country. it shouldn't take four or five days to put the power back on, if we had sufficient infrastructure to bring the power in a sensible way. >> sean: look at gas lines. people cannot get gas. and now people, waiting in line for hours and hours and hours. this is long island, this is westchester. this is new york city. this is all over new jersey. there is no gas. the president -- he got his photo-op yesterday and he took off. >> as far as i know, he didn't visit breezy point and rockaway. >> sean: he didn't come to new york at all. >> any of the places that were terribly hit and are really suffering, mightily. 80 homes lost. people dying -- people out of their homes. i mean, it's a disaster.

the systemic problem that we have, however, is we don't have enough energy. we don't have modern sources of infrastructure for energy. we haven't built t. we haven't built them because there is so much opposition. usually, very excessive environmental groups that make it impossible to build a new generator, build a new nuclear power plant, extend new transmission lines anywhere you want to extend them. the president killed the single easiest one, the keystone pipeline. this has been going on -- this has been going on all over the country. so you end up operating on the brink in a major city like new york. it's true of all of our major cities. i put in 10 generators in new york city when i was the mayor. each one of them had to be kind of a small generator because we didn't want to have environmental review. if i had environmental review, they still wouldn't be built. >> sean: that's insane. we have the new informs, they did not convene their

counter-terrorism resource, the top counter-terrorism resource. as we are coming on the air, the washington post reports, u.s. offers detailed account of attack in libya. okay? the cia rushed security operatives to an american diplomatic compound in libya, within 25 minutes of the attack. we know this is not true because the president -- two weeks later, he was not admitting it's a terror attack. we know that the navy seals were told to stand down. >> yeah-- this is getting sicker by the minute. >> it is sick. it should make any american outraged. this is a situation that just didn't have to happen. you don't need any more smoking guns. to me, there was a smoking cannon, when they blew a hole in june, in that consulate wall. now, all of a sudden, we don't give them more security. we reduce their security. we get surprised, even on

september 12 that this cancalate is being attacked. it was attacked twice before. nobody has asked the president of the united states, did you know about the prior otacks? the president is like the prince off in a cloud somewhere. did the president of the united states know his consulate was attacked -- twice in one time in june, when they blew a hole in the wall. mr. president, if you knew about it, did you supply more security? >> sean: no. the worry is no. >> did you know that the british pulled out? did you know the red cross pulled out? you left our people there? >> sean: president photo-op with a picture of him, convening in the situation room about hurricane sandy. he is now out campaigning in vegas tonight. the csg -- that's the group that is posed to know -- they were never called upon. now they are trying to say, we released assets. wait a minute. ty woods risked his military

career, risked his life and gave his life because he was told to stand down at the cia annex, which is a mile away from the consulate. wait a minute. this story in the washington post tonight -- contradicts everything they said. now, i believe it's because if they had used this csg, they would have had to admit it's terror. two weeks later, the president wasn't saying it was a terror attack. >> the answer to this is pretty clear. it's been going on six or seven months. i think president obama and his administration wanted a big victory in libbia. they overthrough qaddafi, a moderate government -- a moderate, incompetent government was elected. everything's nice in libya. he did a great job. he got bin laden and libya -- wow, he did a great job. they discounted this because they didn't want to focus on the fact that libya is a disaster, all kinds of attacks going on in benghazi, consulate hit twice. the british consulate attack.

manhattan. you have fights breaking out of gas stations, hours, people are waiting and they run out of gas, literally people stealing and siphoning gas. no power, no transportation. but he's in vegas tonight. he wants a new department of business. reaction? >> well, first, i hope he's moderating what is going on on the east coast. you are right, that's his job. he should be following that. second, the new department of business -- first of all, if he wanted one, he could have done it with both houses as super majorities. i can't imagine that more government will help business. in other words, we need to be helping the private sector. we learned that with the stimulus. he said if we passed the stimulus plan, that we would get unemployment at 5.4%. it's 50% higher. it's a 9 million job miss. that's 9 million family who is wish they had a better problem. the last four years haven't

worked because the plans didn't work. i think the people are starting to realize that. we spent the day on the campaign trail. there are a lot of moderate and conservative democrattings saying, you know, it just hasn't worked. i am willing to go with the new approach because you have a guy like mitt romney who does have the private-sector experience. understands it's not a new secretary that will create job, it's private-sector job growth and the government creating an environment to encourage investors. >> sean: i talked to my ohio go-to political expert, billy cunningham, well known in the state orvetion higho. he talk to the secretary of state office. they compared 2008 voting records in ohighwayo, 5 days out to where we are today. 230,000 fewer democrats in early voting this year. and about 40,000 more republicans than in 2008... what do you make of what is

going on politically in your state of ohio? >> first of all, it's a very tight race. no question. polls are showing it's a dead heat. but we see good signs in terms of early voting. that is about 260,000 votes, which happens to be what barack obama won by in 2008. so we are seeing progress in terms of more republicans voting early. fewer democrats voting early. much more important to me, the energy and the enthusiasm on the ground. you know, our folks have a lot of passion. we didn't see it in 2008. woe certainly see it now. you see it at the rallies. 16 in the last month. the crowds are unbelievable. if you go to our victory centers, i have been to 20 of those, made phone calls at all of them. we have a lot of people, making calls, going door to door. we have never seen anything like it. we have three times more calls than 2008. we have 20 times of knocking on doors.

obama made a lot of broken promises. and then the biggest point, if somebody doesn't do a good job, it's okay to let 'em go. tell us how you got involved in this? >> well they asked me fiwanted to come back there and be involved in the convention. i didn't know exactly how to be involved. and they -- most of the people are speaking pretty much a scripted, kind of thing. i just don't -- maybe i just -- i talk a little bit about... being... about... things just from the heart. i mean, things, the average citizen wonders about. and wondering why we are at the stage we are with the economy. why we are at the stage we are in the world. >> sean: i tried to warn people about who i thought barack obama was. we did a lot of work in 2007 and 2008. you know, kind of came out of nowhere. never did a big deal in his

life. voted present a lots a state senator. no real accomplishment in the u.s. senate. so i looked at this is background, a community organize, with a.c.o.r.n., hangs out with some pretty radical people. i tried to warn people a little bit. you kind of summed up how i feel now four years after him being president. you said, he's the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the american people. i think this story's going to be written and, you know... i just -- i don't think, for some reason people got caught up in 2008 and it seems many are still caught up today. your reaction? >> well, there are people -- and a lot of -- a lot of people who are -- who feel... dissatisfied, from voting for him last time are afraid to admit that they maybe made a mistake. it's better to be overly

defensive and just say, i am voting for him again. i try to give people, when i was at the rnc, the idea that maybe they could -- they should think about other alternatives. and you know, rather than just promoting a party line. and of course, a lot of people who are on the republican side, who voted for him last time, will probably have regrets. but if you have regrets, think about somebody else, somebody who offers something else, like a business background. governor romney is a great business background. he is extremely well educated. he has several degrees from harvard, including, you know, business and including a law degree. he is just a perfect guy for the job. and i think along with paul ryan, you have a great team that is out there, ready to i think they can correct a lot of the problems we have had... i don't

know. i just eye think it's kind of -- i hate to get too sim police --icismalistic. i have nothing against this fella that's in. vinothing against any of the people on the staff. i do -- i find -- in myself, feeling very resentful about the whole thing in benghazi. that's been kind of a tragedy that should have never happened or shouldn't have been an attempt. all you can ask when there is a crisis loo that is to make an attempt. that's the american way. >> sean: the you know, the thing that concerns me the most. i have been really blessed in this country. just reading a lot about you before the interview, i know you feel the same way about you can your career and your life. i followed your whole career. and i am a big fan. my parents grew up in the depression, it really bothers me to see one in six americans are in poverty, 25 million americans

unemployed, 49 million americans on food stamps. and in four years, $6 trillion in new debt. we are going to go bankrupt. it's mathematically not going to add up. i think the thing that really grabbed me when you spoke at the republican convention is, towards the end of your speech -- i enjoyed all of it -- but this really grab me when you said, we own this country. and you went on to say, politicians, they are employees of ours. you went on to then go that, you know, it's important to realize, hey, if somebody doesn't do the job, you can let 'em go. for some reason, there seems to be an emotional attachment to president obama. why is that such an important thing for to you say? >> i think it's important -- there is -- the american people deserve -- they deserve the best. and -- because they are the best. i have been luck nemy career to have their support i know a lot of other people have, too.

in other lines of work... but, you know, they deserve a really -- straight-forward talk. a lot of -- but a lot of what we are seeing recently is not straight forward. of course, when you have a political campaign, naturally, people are insulting one side or the other. but some of it has gone to exreeps, accusing one side of killing people and all of that sort of thing. you are watching the debate -- like in the second debate, for instance, there was a big -- the president got very uptight and said, i take exception to this, if you are insinuating that anything went wrong. you know, when you start overreacting, that's usually a good sign that you are -- you are over willing the point. if you are really -- if you are really satisfied with your position on something, you just say, hey, you calmly present something. if you get in a tizzy over it, then all of a sudden, you go,

but i wonder how much money they are giving to charity, et cetera. it never used to be this way. why is hollywood so left, in your view? >> i don't know. i think, just the nature eye think coming off the activities... actions and the early 50s, i think caused everybody to move to kind of a left position. i think most people when they are young are more idealistic. i know i was. you know, most people are much more liberal when they are young and growing up. after awhile, they realize that -- well, for me, it was because i found a lot of my liberal friends who i still have great friendship with, but i found they weren't that liberal. i thought, wait a second. maybe everybody -- maybe there is another -- another way to go. but hollywood, there is a group of people in hollywood that are conserveatism but the nature of

the word itself, they are retiesent to speak out. they are -- because they feel that they will maybe lose work or be chastised in some way for having political views. i think maybe you had somebody on your program this, young lady that somebody was giving a hard time to, threatening to not hire because she was californiaing out for mitt romney. and that kind of stuff is -- is... is inexcusable. but there are people that think that way. >> sean: stacey dash, the actress. >> yeah. i know a lot of people who would love to hire her. >> sean: maybe she will be in the next clint eastwood film. this is going to be one of the most watched ads and biggest buys in the campaign sig cycle. the ad you did. >> the last few years, america's been knocked down. 23 million people can't find

full-time work. we borrow $4 billion every day, much of it from china. if someone doesn't get the job done, have you to hold them accountable. an obama second term would be a rerun of the first templt our country can't survive that. we need somebody who can turn it around fast. that man is mitt romney. there is not much time and the future of our country is at stake. >> sean: you know the thing that really grabbed me about that? you know, you don't have to do this, you are clint eastwood. you really feel -- i kind of feel the same way, so i think i am identifying with you. but i sensed, you really feel that the country we grew up in, the land of opportunity -- is in jeopardy. am i reading you right -- the reason you got involved in you didn't have to get involved in it. >> you are absolutely right. i just felt, one day, i tell you, i know some people who -- we sit around and complain, but we never, ever step up and do

anything. and i have to give -- jon voight a pat on the back because i was sitting with him and a couple of other people, commiserating about the situation with the economy and everything. he said, well, why doesn't anybody in hollywood ever speak up? i thought, yeah, you know, he's right. we are kind of chicken. we are sitting around, you know, kind of going, let somebody else do it. so all of a sudden, one day, they asked me to be on the rnc and go there. we said, what are you going to say? i said, i don't know what i am going to say. i will just say something that i mean. that's -- that's all there is to it. the chair idea -- that just came out of the air, you know? i was siting there and the guy behind -- the stage said, here, you want to sit down. i said, no, but why don't you sit it out and take it next to the pod i didn't mean. he said, oh, you want to sit down? i said, no, no.

just put it there. so at the time -- that was really stupid. why did do i that? but people started to come up and say, well, that was fun. maybe -- a little fun was what i was looking for, i don't know. it got a lot of people bugged at the content-- absolutely. i was in the room. >> yeah, well, that's good. if it insults --akes -- the right people angry, then, good. that will makewake 'em up a little bit? we really appreciate you being with us. i have been a fan a long time. i think you are making a difference. i think the idea that you tell people, somebody doesn't do a good job, it's okay to fire 'em. it's telling people who maybe believed in barack obama. he had four years, we are not better off. thank you so much, clint eastwood, for being on the program.ome back again. >> my pleasure, sean. >> sean: coming up, david limbaugh, joe trippi and the newest polls from around the

>> sean: welcome back to "hannity." >> time for a daily update for the polls. let's begin with the rasmussen tracking poll, which shows that

governor romney is leading the president, 49-47 and there is new evidence that romney is out-pacing obama when it comes to early voting. he leads by a 7-point margin. that is a dramatic change from where things stood in 2008, when the anointed one led senator mccain by 19 points in early voting at this stage of the race. here to tell us, the new york times best seller, the great destroyer and joe trippi. joe, i went over thicks with bill cunningham. out of cincinnati. he knows the state. never been wrong. he spoke to the secretary of state's office, obottom athe democrats are down, 230,000 early voting from where they were in 2008. republicans are up 40, and he said there is no way that mitt romney doesn't win ohio. you tweeted out just the orsit today. give me your evidence?

>> well, look, i have -- you know, i looked at internal polling-- internal polling. >> look, sean, we can debate who will win ohio until we're blue in the face. it's very tight there. it is probably going to be whoever win ohio will be the next president. so if you are right, you will be tap dancing on me on wednesday morning. but i don't think that's the case. and we can argue different reasons -- [overlapping dialogue] >> sean: you have to admit, there is a major shift that is taking place. david limbaugh, i mean, early voting, major shift. you add to this intensity and the independents. we have an entirely different configured race this time around? >> am -- think when it, sean and joe, who would you rather be -- barack obama or mitt romney? would you rather have mitt-mentum or falling away as barack obama. the polls are showing that mitt is going ahead in ohio,

rasmussen shows he's the most reliable guy. the other pole polls that show mitt mind are sampled in favor of democrats. but gallup's overall national poll, early voting, mitt's ahead by 7 and 6 points respectively. if you have a national margin that great. ohio will be swept through. ohio is a major republican state. can you thinkham pointed out, the only time it went for a democrat is when you had a lacklasture republican presidential candidate, which we do not have this time. romney is strong, joe. >> you know, sean -- wait. david, let's look at the reality. let's look at where they have been. yesterday, romney spends all day on three stops in florida, a state that should be a done deal. by the way -- and then obama spends all day today in wisconsin, a state he would have thought would have been locked down by now. just their two schedules alone

show you -- you know, how tight this is and that they are both trying to lock down states like florida and wisconsin that should have been in the bag for either one of them aircraft long time ago. i am not arguing arguing with y. look, this is going to be very, very close. anybody who thinks it's in the bag-- i don't think it's in the bag. i am not going to say that. i want people, especially conserve testifies think they are a touchdown behind? and they have to fight hard in the closing days. but two emerging stories here. one is the libya/benghazigate, which has become a real problem. the president's been caught lying. it is not even a point of argument. the president goes in for a photo-op with chris christie and he's back on the campaign trail. he have gas stations shut down. we have looters breaking out. we have people dumpster diving. we have chaoses breaking out with the obama katrina emerging before our eyes -- he got his

photo-op, he's on the campaign trail. joe and david, things are going to get worse by the weekend. i am on the ground here in new york and new jersey. it is getting really bad, really fast. david? >> well, the momentum was in mitt's favor before the hurricane hit. there was a chance it would cause a moratorium. i don't think it has. but even if it has, it will dissipate by the weekend. i hope it doesn't have any political effect at all. mitt will recapture the momentum. he was 4 points ahead in rasmussen's national poll, 6 in gallup likely polling. i think all the -- all the policy reasons to oust obama are present. he doesn't have an energized base. everybody says, the key to this is voter turnout, the republicans are energized like they have never been in my lifetime. therefore, the election's over, if you look at it on that factor alone. >> we have looting and troopers who should be helping people who are being called to gas stations

because there is no gas in the northeast. patience is running thin. people are running out of food. obama's in vegas. obama's on the campaign trail. i bet this comes back to bite him. >> you are shaking your head. >> no, look, eighteen, he has done everything -- he has been out there, put money out there. you know, energized the federal government to throw money in and-- oh, okay. obama is good at throwing money at everything -- we don't have it -- >> but let me get to the real problem. the real problem is going to be in pennsylvania. if in philadelphia, there is a lower turnout because of the storm, if pennsylvania's really getting closer, there could be a political impact there. but i don't buy the rest of it. i don't buy the rest of it. >> sean: i am telling you -- i am here, chaos is breaking out. we have to run. that's all the time we have left. let not your heart be troubled.
